Review

"This book is shocking, and that's what I like about it. How did Jesus become the Christ and how did the Buddha attain Buddhahood? Are their stories somehow connected? These are just a few of the questions that Gary Renard and his teachers, Arten and Pursah, pursue in this book. At the very least, they challenge our willingness to consider the impact these masters can have on our lives today, not just in ancient times. I really think you're going to enjoy this journey."— James F. Twyman, best-selling author of The Moses Code and Emissary of Light"Arten and Pursah are back and better than ever, with their uncompromising message and pull-no-punches attitude, all the while reinforcing the importance of seeing in the light of pure nondualism. Additionally, they share with us a very intriguing and pleasantly surprising historical connection between Jesus and Buddha that the world doesn’t even know about! Gary is his usual humorous self, and as always, candidly shares his forgiveness opportunities that we can all learn from. Giddy up!"— Mike Lemieux, author of Dude, Where’s My Jesus Fish?

For some reason, don’t know why, I got more teary-eyed reading this book than I did reading the first three books combined! I’m not one to usually get that kind of emotional, unless of course it’s when a character I like gets killed off on The Walking Dead but that is neither here nor there. Anyway, not saying it makes it a better or lesser of a book, I’m just sayin’. So without further ado, here’s my review:Arten and Pursah are back, and better than ever, with their uncompromising message and non-apologetic attitude, while enthusiastically sharing a very surprising and intriguing history and connection of Jesus and Buddha, and how they were able to help each other along their respective paths over several lifetimes on their journey towards enlightenment. Specifically, six different lifetimes are discussed. The four major attitudes of learning, which were explained in The Disappearance of the Universe but seemingly often overlooked by many of its readers, are revisited here in a much needed, in-depth fashion, reinforcing the distinctions between dualism, semi-dualism, non-dualism, and pure non-dualism.As usual, Arten and Pursah pull no punches when it comes to discussing the purely non-dualistic message of A Course in Miracles – where you get God and Jesus without the religion - and how there can only be one correct interpretation of it. Their spiritual message that there is no world and only God is real is hammered home even further; the perfect kick in the ass that the spiritual community, and especially the Course in Miracles community, needs to hear! And Gary is his usually humorous self, while very candidly sharing some more of his personal experiences, as well as forgiveness opportunities that he had to apply the metaphysics of A Course in Miracles to, as he knows very well that if one doesn’t apply it, then this super, immense teaching is ultimately useless. As Arten puts it, “It’s not enough to know about forgiveness or even understand it. And that’s rare enough. But once you do understand it, you have go get into the habit of doing it consistently.” And later on, “You’ll know for sure that you’ve forgiven something when it doesn’t bother you anymore.” And that is certainly the point of doing the Course; to get to a place where the nothing the world throws your way bothers you; to be happy and at peace regardless of what happens. Giddy up!

Gary stays true to the course (of course) in this wonderful masterpiece which enlightens us on some of the lifetimes when Jesus and Buddha were together and how they were able to help each other and grow on their paths to becoming one in spirit. There are many questions and examples shared by Gary, Arten, and Pursah which help us understand the course and remind us to stay true to the teachings of ACIM to attain our ultimate goal. This is the 4th book by Gary and I could not put it down, I found myself reading it at work, at 2 am, at lunch, and anytime in between. It is fascinating in content and does not compromise on the message of ACIM. Thank you, Gary, for a wonderful book and sharing your experiences with us!With much Love and Gratitude for your giftMark Helm

I pre-ordered this book through Amazon months ago, as soon as the author announced its release. I received it the other day and read it in two sittings. (I’m now in the process of reading it for the second time). As I read, several times I found myself shedding tears of relief, hope and joy, as well as feeling grateful and thankful for the information therein. It’s such a joy to read. And, like all of Gary’s books, every time I read one of his books I get its message on a deeper level. Just like Gary Renard’s previous works, The Disappearance of the Universe (or “DU”) trilogy, this book stays true to the message of A Course In Miracles (AKA the “Course” or “ACIM”). An important service that this book provides, in my opinion, is that it reinforces the idea that the path to enlightenment/salvation is not a religion, but a personal journey that everyone is on, whether you realize it or not. Every path counts, no one is excluded, and everyone will awaken to their reality when they are supposed to. Its message points you to the truth, which is your perfect Oneness with your Source, expressed as “‘God Is’ and nothing else is.” But it doesn’t stop there. More importantly, it shows you how to apply the spiritual principles that will get you home – it goes all the way without compromising on the truth. Another major service that the book provides is that it brilliantly and succinctly describes the process of how Jesus and Buddha became the wisdom masters that they are. The process of tranformation that they went through will make you realize two very important things: One, you don’t have to sacrifice anything in order to gain everything (instead you make the very worthwhile choice of disciplining your mind to think about – or reinterpret – situations, events and people in a certain way so as to experience the peace of God on a consistent basis); and two, once you understand the process that led these two masters to experience the truth of what they really are on a permanent basis while they were still in the world, it will allow you to (a) understand why there can only be one interpretation to what ACIM is saying; and (b) more easily understand its message and therefore practice it, which is the most important thing. I first became a student of the Course over 12 years ago. (I stumbled onto DU, which today I know it wasn’t a coincidence. I was ready for its radical message and decided to make it my life-long path). And although the message is simple, practicing it consistently can be very challenging. This book did something to me. It brought together all of the principles covered in the DU trilogy, and therefore the Course, in a way that allowed me to more easily understand, appreciate, and practice them. I was stuck in a rut, and I feel this book was the catalyst I needed to get back on track. A new sense of commitment was born within me. I’ve already found myself thinking differently. I know that I know that my experience will change going forward so long as I remain vigilant only for God and His Kingdom. This book is a brilliant spiritual masterpiece. It’s a must read for any spiritual seeker, whether you’re a long-time student of the Course, whether you’re at a fork in the road, or whether you’re new at this.
